Webcam 1-2-3
Accessing Webcam 1-2-3 from the Internet

Before you start Webcam 1-2-3 for remote surveillance, you may need to configure Web server first.
  • Make sure Web button is pressed.


  • Click HTML, and then click on Save and Preview button. Webcam 1-2-3 will create a web page and bring up the browser to display the webpage for you.

  • To find out your IP address


  • go to Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> Command Prompt

    Enter ipconfig and you'll see your current IP address. To access Webcam 1-2-3, please start IE and type in http://your IP address in the location bar.



    IP address such as 192.168.x.x, 127.0.0.1, 10.0.0.x is not accessible from the Internet. If your IP address is 192.168.x.x or 10.0.0.x, please configure your firewall or router. If you are behind a router, logon to the router to find out your external IP address.

    • Start IE.
    • Enter the router's IP address. (Please refer to the user manual of your router. Below is a sample screen shot of Router's setting.)





  • Before you configure your firewall or router, please refer to the user's manual to check if they support IP Forwarding or Virtual server. Otherwise, you may not be able to access Webcam 1-2-3 from the Internet. For more information, please refer to Network Help.


  • If you can't view the streaming video on the Internet, you may need to disable the firewall on Windows XP or configure the router or firewall.


  • Note: if you are using Windows Media Player 6, please upgrade to 7.0 or above. You need to install Java Virtual Machine if you are using Windows XP.
