Watchdog can generate 128 bit file fingerprint for each video file. The proven
mathematic algorithm, originally developed by RSA Data Security Inc., has been used in
most of today's secure communication. The chance of two files having the same fingerprint
is in the order of about 28,000,000,000,000,000,000 operations. This 128 bit file
fingerprint has been widely accepted by most of the secure communication applications.
Access your video files remotely
Watchdog's built-in web server enables you to retrieve your video archives
remotely from Webcam Watchdog server.
Video signal loss detection
Watchdog can alert you when it detects there is no signal from the camera. For example, Watchdog can alert you by email when camera's video cable or power cable is cut.
(Please note USB cameras are not supported. However, this feature may work with most of the USB video capture boxes.)

This product requires computer professional with sufficient network and video skills to install.

You can always download and try it by yourself first. However, it is
recommended you find a local software consultant to help you on installing
and using this product if you are not comfortable configuring the video and
network settings (e.g. router, firewall and proxy).

If your computer is behind a firewall or sharing the same IP address with a router, please
make sure the hardware supports virtual server or IP forwarding.
You need to open 2 ports for web server and Windows Media streaming.

Authentication is not available if accessed directly by Windows Media Player
and Windows Media Server.

The software supports up to 30 frames/second on local computer. However, the actual
frame rate depends on the speed of your computer hardware. The actual frame rate over the
Internet/Intranet depends on many factors, mostly the network bandwidth and the traffic
status. Unless cost is not a factor, do NOT expect you will see 30 frames/second TV quality video over the Internet.
