Web Server

To configure your Web server, click Setup, and then click Web access tab.



  • Allow Web access to this camera
    Check this box if you wish to allow web access to this camera.


  • Web server Port
    The default port used is 80. You may choose another port if the default is being used by other program (e.g. Microsoft IIS server). Some Internet Service Providers (ISP's) block incoming traffic on port 80. Try mapping another port above 8000 and see if this helps.


  • JPEG frame rate
    Enter the frame rate for remote viewing.


  • Enable logging
    NetCamCenter creates log file for you to track who accesses your web site. You can enable this feature by checking Enable logging box.

    A log file will be created in " C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\NetCamCenter ". You can find the file by using Windows Explorer and open Your-Computer-Name_Date.log file with Notepad to view the log. The log file records the time, date and IP address in which NetCamCenter are accessed from.


  • Auto update HTML pages
    Check this box if you wish NetCamCenter to update the web pages each time you change the settings.


  • Authorization required
    You can setup username and password to control the web access.

    1. On the Web access tab, type your desired username and password.
    2. Check the Authorization required box.
    3. Click OK.

    Note authentication is not available if accessed directly by Windows Media™ Player.


  • Enable Windows Media streaming
    Check this box if you wish to enable broadcasting video by Windows Media.

    Note:
    If the video is recorded with Webcam Corp NVC2 or MPEG4 codec to view the live streaming video, you need to install the NVC2 or MPEG4 codec.


  • Port
    The port used for Windows Media Streaming. If the port has been used by another application, you need to change the port number.
