Troubleshooting

Please check the following system settings on your PC.
  • Disable hibernation
  • Turn off overclocking/performance mode in BIOS settings
  • Turn on Plug and Play in BIOS settings
  • NTFS disk partition is recommended.
To check the settings, go to control panel and double click Power Options. On Power Schemes tab,

Turn Off Hard Disks (select Never)
System Standby (select Never)

On Hibernate tab, uncheck Enable hibernation.

Please make sure that you have enough bandwidth.
You may need to lower the frame rate or the image size of your camera if you do not have enough bandwidth for all of the cameras. It consumes more network bandwidth, CPU, RAM and bandwidth of the PCI bus for larger image and higher frame rate. If you do not have enough bandwidth, it may cause network connection to be instable. For example, if the resolution of the camera is 640x480, the bandwidth needed for sending the image is around 344 ~ 472 K bps (one frame per second).

If you set the resolution to 640x480 or higher for multiple cameras, please reduce the frame rate or resolution on some cameras.

Please also run scandisk regularly to check if system file is corrupted.

Please check if Windows Service Pack 2 has been installed.
  • Right-click on My Computer on the Desktop.
  • Select Properties.
  • If you are running Windows 2000, please install Service Pack4. For Windows XP, please install SP2.

Antivirus software
In some case, antivirus software may cause NetCamCenter fail to work properly. It is not recommended that you turn on antivirus software while running NetCamCenter. If the computer has Norton Internet Security installed, you may want to turn off Internet Security when running NetCamCenter.
