I cannot monitor remotely with Windows Vista? 2. What cable do I need for WatchdogX? You can use RCA or F-Type cable to connect to WCSA100 capture card.
3. What cameras can I use? Wireless, IR, color, and black & white cameras with RCA or BNC jack video output are all compatible with our digital video recorders and WCSA100 cards. WCSA100 enables you to mix and match cameras to meet your needs. 4. I see gray or black image in the video window. What should I do? Please click Setup on the Video window. Go to the Device tab and click Video Source. Select correct NTSC or PAL mode for your camera. 5. I see blue screen when I start WatchdogX. Please check the camera's power cable. If the power cable is not connected, please plug it into the AC outlet. 6. I see blur screen or the image quality is not good when I start WatchdogX. Your camera is out of focus. Please adjust the camera focus. 7. How do I access WatchdogX from the Internet? Your IP address is listed on WatchdogX toolbar. ![]() To access WatchdogX, start IE and type in the IP address in the location bar. If you see can't find server message in the browser, please check WatchdogX's IP address. To check the IP address go to Start -> Programs -> Accessories ->Command Prompt Enter ipconfig and you'll see your current IP address. If your IP address is 192.168.x.x or 10.0.x.x, please configure your router or firewall to enable port forwarding or virtual server. Your web address is http://your IP address
8. Can I run WatchdogX with multiple USB cameras? Watchdog for multiple cameras version and WatchdogX are recommended to be run on our capture cards only. It is not recommended that you run WatchdogX with multiple USB cameras as the driver of most USB cameras don't support you run the same USB cameras on a computer. 9. How do I output WCSA100 to TV? To output video to TV, you need to use a display card that support TV out. Most display cards with TV-Out function require S-Video cable to connect to TV. (Note: most display cards only support TV-out resolution to 800x600.)
10. How do I delete alarm log? To delete alarm log, click Setup in a video window and then go to Alarm tab. Click Delete alarm log. 11. I see red or green frame around the video screen. What does it indicate? Red frame indicates that VCR is started. You see green frame when motion is detected. 12. I install 2 WCSA100 cards, but can only see 4 video windows in WatchdogX. You can see the LED on the card. If they are the same number, please adjust the jumper if you install mutiple WCSA100 card. 13. Can I record multiple audio channel with WCSA100? WCSA100 has NO "audio in" device. The included software Webcam WatchdogX can take audio input from Windows wave device. You can use other Windows compatible 4 channel sound card to achieve 4 video and 4 audio recording with WCSA100 if you wish. Unless you need CD quality audio, otherwise using WCSA440 will be easier and cheaper than the other solution. The 440 was developed a year later after WCSA100 simply for this. 14. One of the cameras cannot be opened. What should I do? It may be caused by shutting down the computer improperly. You can run the Reset tool to fix it. Before running the Reset tool, you may want to back up the settings first.
